Ugg Boots have been around since at least World War I, when aviators wore them due to their great insulation. In Australia, Uggs have also been worn by sheep shearers for many decades. There has been great controversy over the years over the use of the term “Ugg”. Deckers Outdoor Corporation claimed it and other related terms as a trademark, but they later lost this trademark in Australia.
